Drone Delivery Crisis

Lila stood outside the drone control center, looking at the sky. The city was busy, full of cars, bikes, and people walking fast. She loved her job. She delivered packages quickly, using small flying drones. But today was different. Today, she carried something very important—a human heart for a hospital.

She checked her screen. The drone was flying fast. It had to reach the hospital in ten minutes. A patient needed the heart to live. But then, something went wrong. The drone started to shake. The wind was strong, pushing it to the side.

Lila's heart beat faster. She pressed buttons on her control panel. The drone did not listen. It was falling. If it crashed, the heart would be useless. The patient would not have a chance.

She had two choices. She could try to bring the drone down near her, but it might hit her. Or she could do nothing and watch it crash far away. She knew the answer. She had to try.

She pressed a button to change the drone’s direction. The screen showed a warning: "DANGER! COLLISION!" Lila took a deep breath. She ran to the spot where the drone would land.

The drone was coming fast. It was not stable. It was spinning in the air. Lila covered her head. The drone hit her hard on the shoulder. She fell to the ground. Everything was blurry. But she heard a soft sound—the organ case landed safely beside her.

People ran to her. "Are you okay?" someone asked. Lila felt pain in her arm, but she smiled. "The heart is safe," she said. A hospital worker picked up the case and ran.

Later, Lila sat in the hospital. A doctor came to her. "You saved a life today," he said.

Lila nodded. She was happy. But then, the doctor looked at her with surprise. "Do you know whose heart you saved?"

Lila shook her head.

"It is your own heart," the doctor said. "You donated it years ago."

Lila's eyes opened wide. She did not know what to say. But one thing was clear—this delivery was the most important one of her life.
